Subject: Question about OM Pipeproducts

Hello,
I am looking at OM data (both from pipeprod and locally processed odf) for 
the first time and I have encountered a strange case where the UV image 
has the main emission a little far from the centre of the galaxy (centre 
perfectly matched with MOS2 data). I would like to know if there are any 
known problems with WCS in the Optical Monitor or the WCS system in the OM 
is working well.

Dear Luigi, 

The astrometric accuracy of SAS 5.3 processed OM data is 1-2 arcsec rms.
The main source of error is the geometric distortion of the OM detector.
The accuracy will improve with the new distortion map which will be
ready soon.
