In several points, the XMM SAS Users' Guide refers to a document called
"SSC-LUX-TN 0059" that seems to be required in order to find the correct ECF
values for various observations. This document does not appear to exist
anywhere on the web, however, and all the links to the document that I've been
able to find are dead. The most obvious is
http://xmmssc-www.star.le.ac.uk/pubdocs/SSC-LUX-TN-0059.ps.gz, which returns a
server error claiming that the document doesn't exist.

Is this memo available, and if so, where? Thanks.

David

Dear David,

The document that you are referring to was prepared and maintained by
colleagues from the Survey Science Consortium in order to explain the
settings of the ECFs planned to be used for the XMM-Newton source catalogue.

In the meantime these values are out-of-date and we do no longer want
to refer to them. Actually, in the just released updated version of the SAS
User Guide we are now making reference to the SSC produced 2XMM catalogue
(see section 4.13.3.1) and the related Catalogue User Guide (see
http://xmmssc-www.star.le.ac.uk/Catalogue/2XMM/UserGuide_xmmcat.html#TabECFs).

Regards,
   Matthias
