Hi,

I am downloading the RGS response files in order to create a simulate spectrum
of an X-ray binary. The R1o2.rmf, R2o1.rmf and R2o2.rmf files are working fine.
However, the R1o1.rmf file given in the XMM-Newton RGS Response Files Page is a
.tar archive with the R1o2.rmf, R2o1.rmf and R2o2.rmf files inside him. I tride
downloading both the R1o1.rmf file alone and the SASv12.0.RGSrmfs.tar.gz file
but I don't find the R1o1.rmf response file.

Please can you help me?

Dear Efrain,

thanks for spotting this problem, indeed the uploaded file R1o1.rmf doesn't
correspond to the response matrix.

We will replace the file with the correct one as soon as possible (unfortunately
the person in charge is on leave now).

For the time being, we advice you to use the SAS11 calibration files, available
in the same web page.

Sorry for the inconvenience, let us know if you need further help.
Best

Anna Lia

Hello Efrain,

the correct responses are now available on the calibration web page, if you want

to download the SAS12 version.

Many thanks again for spotting this!
