SAS watchout page

My exposure maps are identically null everywhere. Am I doing something wrong?

If you are calculating an exposure map from a MOS image in detector coordinates you are probably hitting a true bug in SAS v6.0.0. Due to a change of the coordinate system being used by eexpmap, the exposure maps calculated under these conditions have the value 0 in all pixels.

A possible workaround is to copy the value of the primary extension image file keywords in the left-hand side of the following list into the right-hand side keywords:

CTYPE1L --> CTYPE1
CRPIX1L --> CRPIX1
CRVAL1L --> CRVAL1
CDELT1L --> CDELT1
CTYPE2L --> CTYPE2
CRPIX2L --> CRPIX2
CRVAL2L --> CRVAL2
CDELT2L --> CDELT2

A fix to this bug will be available in a future SAS version.
