To download the latest release of SAS click on the link at the bottom of this page.
Before proceeding to the download area, you are requested to fill a questionaire about your current and future needs concerning SAS, in terms of operating systems supported, hardware, etc.
Please fill carefully this questionaire. Thank you.
For each supported operating system listed above (except Mac OS X and Windows) you must download four tar.gz archives. Once you fill the questionaire, these archives can be found within specific directories in the ftp server.
The first two tar.gz archives are common to all operating systems:
and the other two are specific for each operating system:
where platform is a string describing your operating system.
The two xmmsas_20060628_1801-common-*.tar.gz archives are available under a subdirectory named Common.
The xmmsas_20060628_1801-platform-*.tar.gz archives can be found under the specific operating system directory.
For Mac OS X 10.2 and 10.4, the four tar.gz archives are placed in its specific operating system directory. Notice that in this case, for Mac OS X 10.2, the string identifying the version xmmsas_20060628_1802, differs in the last character. For Mac OS X 10.4, the string xmmsas_20060628_1802, has been replaced by xmmsas_7.0.0_MacOSX_Tiger.
For all supported operating systems except the Mac OS X and Windows, a sixth tar.gz archive containing all the system libraries used to build the SAS, is available under the Misc directory:
Warning: This tar.gz archive should be installed ONLY in case you miss some libraries for your specific operating system, which is uncommon.
For Microsoft Windows, please look here for full details on files to download and how to install them.
The xmmsas_20060628_1801-common-src.tar.gz contains the source code of SAS 7.0.0.
