The European Space Agency offers Astronomers and Space Scientists the possibility to hold ESA funded Post-doctoral Research Fellowships.

Opportunities within the XMM-Newton SOC

Within this programme ESA Internal Research Fellowships are available at the XMM-Newton Science Operations Centre (in the European Space Astronomy Centre, located in Villanueva de la Cañada near Madrid, Spain).

Applicants for this post should have a PhD in astrophysics or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline. The XMM-Newton SOC welcomes candidates willing to conduct research based on XMM-Newton data. Experience in medium to high resolution X-ray spectroscopy and a research background in any of the X-ray related Astronomy and Astrophysics Research Programmes listed in the above link are highly desirable.
