XMM-Newton SAS Workshops

SAS Workshops

SAS Workshops are periodically organized by the XMM-Newton Science Operation Centre. They are held at the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC), Villafranca del Castillo, near Madrid in Spain.

The Workshop aims at providing XMM-Newton users with an introduction to the procedures and techniques to successfully reduce and analyse XMM-Newton data. They provide potential users of XMM-Newton data with a general introduction to X-ray data analysis and the SAS.

Latest Workshop

The 14th SAS Workshop took place between 2nd-6th of June 2014.

Details about the workshop can be found here.

Next Workshop

The organization of the SAS Workshop has been cancelled for the spring of 2015. Users are however encouraged to submit any comments to the XMM-Newton helpdesk expressing interest in attending future SAS Workshops.

In case of news about future SAS Workshops, they will be announced in the XMM-Newton Newsletter and published here.
